Privacy Policy

Short summary: 8-bit Manager does not collect any personally identifiable data. Game progress is saved locally on your device. For multiplayer, we use Google Firebase only to establish the connection between devices. The app shows ads via Google AdMob; you can remove them permanently with a one-time in-app purchase.

1. Who we are

This privacy policy applies to the 8-bit Manager application, developed by Green Rabbit Productions.

2. Data we collect

8-bit Manager was designed with privacy in mind. Data collection is minimal:

Data stored locally on the device (not transmitted):

Game progress (seasons, squad, finances, results)
Application preferences (language, speed, settings)
Premium purchase status (stored locally; managed by RevenueCat)

Data used in multiplayer mode:

Temporary anonymous session identifier (randomly generated, not linked to any account)
Room code for pairing (valid only during the active session)
Game state data exchanged directly between devices via WebRTC (peer-to-peer)

Data collected by advertising and purchase services (third parties):

Advertising identifier (GAID on Android, IDFA on iOS) — used by AdMob to serve ads
IP address and approximate location — collected by AdMob for ad targeting
Purchase receipt and entitlement data — processed by RevenueCat for in-app purchase validation

What we do not collect:

Name, surname or any personal identifier
Email address or phone number
Precise geographic location
Health or financial data
Camera or microphone content

3. How we use the data

Local data is used exclusively to save and restore your game progress. It is never transmitted to our servers under any circumstances.

For multiplayer, signalling data (session creation and device pairing) is temporarily processed by Firebase (Google) to establish the direct WebRTC connection. Once the connection is established, communication is peer-to-peer between the two devices, without passing through Firebase servers.

4. Third-party services

8-bit Manager uses the following external services:

Firebase Realtime Database (Google LLC)
Used exclusively for WebRTC signalling in multiplayer: room creation, exchange of connection offers and ICE candidates. Signalling data is temporary and automatically deleted after the session ends. Firebase may log IP addresses in accordance with its own privacy policy.

Google AdMob (Google LLC)
Used to display interstitial ads between matches in the free version of the app. AdMob may collect your advertising identifier (GAID/IDFA), IP address and ad interaction data to serve relevant ads. On iOS 14+, you will be asked for permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt before any identifier is accessed. You can opt out of personalised ads in your device settings at any time. Purchasing 'Remove Ads' disables AdMob entirely.

On iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.)
Used to process and validate the 'Remove Ads' one-time in-app purchase on both Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store). RevenueCat receives your purchase receipt and entitlement data to confirm the purchase. No personally identifiable information beyond what the app store provides is shared.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent or share data with third parties for commercial or marketing purposes. Signalling data processed by Firebase is subject to Google's privacy policy.

6. Data retention

Local data: remains on the device until the application is uninstalled or data is cleared by the user
Firebase signalling data: automatically deleted when the session ends (typically within a few minutes)

7. Security

Communication between devices in multiplayer uses WebRTC with DTLS/SRTP encryption by default. Game progress is stored locally in the device's internal storage.

8. Children

8-bit Manager does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The application requires no registration or account. It includes a Kid-Friendly mode specially designed for younger players. The free version displays ads served by Google AdMob; parents or guardians may purchase the 'Remove Ads' in-app purchase to permanently disable all advertising.

9. Your rights

Since we do not collect personally identifiable data linked to an account, there is no user profile to view, correct or delete on our systems. To delete game data, simply clear the application data in your device settings or uninstall the application.
